Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced Mirrors 2 for Blu-ray release on October 19. This direct-to-video sequel to the psychological thriller Mirrors will come out in a BD/DVD combo and include Into the Mirror (Geoul sokeuro), the 2003 Korean film in which the contemporary horror classic is based, about a series of gruesome deaths in a department store all involving mirrors (in standard definition only).

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced Killers for release on Blu-ray on September 7. This action movie/romantic comedy (not the 1946 film noir classic) stars Katherine Heigl as a woman who thinks she has found the man of her dreams (Aston Kutcher) - only he happens to be an international spy.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of Family Guy : It's A Trap, an "outrageous retelling" of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, and the third installment of the Family Guy Star Wars satire. Street date has been set for December 21. Family Guy: It's A Trap! will also be available in a Blu-ray triple-pack featuring all the "Family Guy"Star Wars spoofs: Blue Harvest (previously unreleased on BD) and Something Something Something Dark Side.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced The Secret in Their Eyes (El secreto de sus ojos) for release on Blu-ray on September 21. This Argentinean psychological thriller, directed by Juan José Campanella, was the surprise winner of the 2010 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, defeating the favorites A Prophet and The White Ribbon.

Warner Home Video has announced that it will release the New Line production A Nightmare on Elm Street on Blu-ray on October 5, in a BD/DVD/digital copy combo pack. The BD of this remake of the Wes Craven horror classic will exclusively include WB's Maximum Movie Mode, renamed for the occasion "Maniacle Movie Mode."

Confirming earlier reports, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced its second movie for release on 3D Blu-ray: Monster House, which is scheduled to hit store shelves on September 14. Like the 3D edition of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, this BD will include both a full-resolution 3D version and a 2D version of the movie.

Filmmaker Edgar Wright, who directed one of the fake trailers embedded in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse, posted yesterday on his Twitter account that he's soon going to record a commentary for that trailer, and added: "Some of you will know what that means is finally happening namely, that a release of the Grindhouse theatrical experience is around the corner."

Warner Home Video has announced The Hangover: Extreme Hangover Edition for release on Blu-ray on October 12. This re-release of the R-rated sleeper hit of 2009 contains an exclusive, never-before-seen 28-page wedding album featuring missing photos from the ill-fated Vegas wedding and more incriminating photos from the lost camera that you couldn't see in theaters, as well as new BD-Live content. This direct-to-video animated feature (the ninth of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies) is based on Jeff Loeb's popular mini-series from the Superman/Batman comic books. A digital copy will be included.

Warner Home Video has announced that, on August 3, it will release Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music (40th Anniversary Edition). This Blu-ray edition, previously available only at Wal-Mart, includes the two discs from the Ultimate Collector's Edition, but without the collectibles. List price has been set at an attractive $24.98.
