  4. Do 123 products work with copy protected movies?

Many DVDs are coded with CSS (content Scrambling system) and thus copy-protected. With the new copyright law becoming effective, it is not longer permitted to copy coded DVDs. Due to this the program mcldecrypt.exe, which was used for reading in copy-protected DVDs, may not be any more component of this new version of Movie clone. We draw the attention of you hereby expressly to the fact that the use of the program mcldecrypt.exe, which you could have installed still from previous versions on your PC, is illegal.

  12. The software is unstable and the burning process aborts before completion. What can I do?

You should first check if you have other burning programs installed on your system. This is the most frequent cause, since it can lead to driver conflicts that hinder the burning process.

You should also make sure that you don't have any other programs open while you are burning a CD. This can also interfere with the burning process.

  13. While I was copying a VHS tape, the following error message appeared: “Insufficient disk space in swap path.” What does that mean?

While a VHS or other source signal is being read out, the software needs enough disk space to write the data to the hard disk. Check if your hard disk has enough free disk space and is able to access it. If necessary, expand the size of the Windows swap file / page file (for tips on how to do this, see the Windows help) and delete any unnecessary files.

  14. The software does not recognize my burner. What can I do?

There are two reasons why this might happen:

    1. The firmware your burner is using is too old. Go to the burner manufacturer's website and download the latest firmware for your burner. Instructions on how to install the firmware can usually be found right on the website.
    2. Go to http://www.123copydvd.com/support/updates/ and find out if there is an update for the software. Updates always include support for the latest burners.
